Radio interviews of local Catholic students taking place during CSW
This Catholic Schools Week offers a special opportunity to hear from diocesan Catholic school students in their own voices.
Domestic Church Media, home of four radio stations that cover large portions of New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Staten Island, is offering special programming Jan. 31 – Feb. 3, featuring interviews with students throughout their listening area, including kids from the Diocese of Trenton.
“It’s important for us as a Catholic radio station to highlight the good work being done by our Catholic school,” said DCM founder and CEO Jim Manfredonia. “It takes an enormous sacrifice [by parents] to choose that, and if you can do it, it’s a great thing… Domestic Church Media believes in and supports Catholic education.”
This is the first time student interviews will be featured on DCM stations to this extent during Catholic Schools Week. The interviews of those from the Trenton Diocese are as follows:
Feb. 1 • Notre Dame High School, Lawrenceville; St. John Vianney High School, Holmdel – Life Teen; St. Peter School, Point Pleasant Beach – singing for charity
Feb. 2 • St. Joseph School, Toms River; St. John Vianney High School, Holmdel – Life Teen
Feb. 3 • St. Rose Grammar School, Belmar – Mercy Club
Tune in to catch the interviews each afternoon at 4:30 p.m., with an encore presentation at 10:30 p.m.: WFJS 1260 AM – Mercer, or 89.3 FM – Monmouth and Ocean counties.
You can also listen live to streaming audio at www.DomesticChurchMedia.org, or with the free DCM app for mobile devices. Following Catholic Schools Week, the DCM website will post podcasts and links to the archived interviews.
