The Miraculous Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, one of four that travels throughout the world and the United States, visited the Diocese of Trenton Oct. 29-30.

On Oct. 29, St. Rose Parish, Belmar, hosted the image as part of the parish’s “24 Hours of Prayers for Life.” The image arrived to St. Rose Church following the 9 a.m. Mass and remained there until 6:30 a.m. Oct. 30 during which time the faithful had an opportunity to pray before the Blessed Sacrament and venerate the image.

After the image left St. Rose Church, it was transported to Children’s Specialized Hospital, New Brunswick, where St. Rose High School student Sam Jarmer is a patient recovering from an injury he endured during the summer while working his lifeguard job. Accompanying the image were students and staff from St. Rose High School. At the hospital, Jarmer and his classmates had an opportunity to venerate the image and pray the Rosary.
